This discussion aims to analyze the management support in enhancing the autonomy of librarians in using digital libraries. Through a literature review that encompasses information from library experts both from within and outside Indonesia, this study provides an overview of the steps that library management can take to strengthen librarian autonomy. The discussion reveals that effective management support encompasses several crucial aspects. Firstly, library management needs to provide adequate resources, including sufficient budget, necessary technological infrastructure, and intensive training for librarians. This ensures that librarians have access to and possess the necessary skills in managing digital libraries. Furthermore, library management should also encourage training and development opportunities for librarians related to the utilization of digital libraries. Moreover, it is crucial for library management to establish clear policies and guidelines regarding the use of digital libraries. Lastly, technical support is also very important. Library management needs to ensure responsive maintenance of technology infrastructure, software updates, and technical assistance. Thus, librarians will be able to overcome technical barriers that may arise when using digital libraries. This research provides a comprehensive understanding of the importance of management support in enhancing librarian autonomy in using digital libraries.
